Hello, reader!

I’m Barsha, the editor-in-chief of the famous The UX Journal magazine, but also a designer by trade, observer by instinct, and the kind of person who can't help but notice when a form field doesn’t align just right.

My path into UX wasn’t a straight line. It started in college where design felt more like styling than storytelling (thanks to my apparel design degree). But curiosity has a way of dragging you deeper. One thing led to another, and I found myself more interested in how people use products than how they look. From there, it was a slow and steady transformation - from crafting surfaces to shaping experiences.

Today, I work on enterprise and consumer-facing platforms, building logic, emotion, and usability into every interaction.

Over the years, I've worn many hats - UX researcher, interaction designer, visual tinkerer, workshop facilitator- and somewhere along the way, I realized that design is just as much about asking the right questions as it is about providing answers.

When I’m not designing, you’ll find me writing (stories, observations, half-thoughts), reading anything from history to horror, or cooking up a storm (the kind which leaves people gasp for air!)

I'm fascinated by how we think, decide, and change- and I try to fold that into every pixel I place (try being the keyword).

This portfolio is a scrapbook of sorts. A place where zine meets process. Each case study tells a story- not just of solutions, but of moments of doubt, discovery, and decision-making.

It's as much about how I think as what I made.

So grab a metaphorical coffee, flip through the pages, and if anything sparks a question or smile, I’d love to hear from you.

Warmly,
Barsha
